JOB SUMMARY AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Work with manager and/or PM to provide information that will aid in the initial estimation process (RFQ/RFI).

2. Stay abreast of the latest technology and techniques to provide designs that are competitive and cost effective.

3. Write clear and concise documentation related to the work performed.

Might elaborate more thoroughly when required.

4. Develop new software or modify/enhance existing software within expected specification, time, quality and completion metrics.

5. Definesoftware concepts and architectures based on requirements analysis.

6. Develop and run effective software verification tests to ensure product stability and performance.

7. Identify, document, prioritize, and resolve BIOS issues on a software unit &sub-system level

8. Provide input to identify and mitigate technical project risks

9. Comply with project plans and industry standards

10. In general performs tasks of a sub-project level independantly.

11. Mentor junior software developers.

12. Initiates and supports software process & quality improvement activities.

13. Proactively take initiative and demonstrate prominent level of accountability

14. Work with cross-functional teams to assure project success

15. Follow department processes and procedures

16. Comply with company security and safety policies

17. May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned

JOB QUALIFICATIONS KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS

- C Language.

- Git control system.

- Familiar with one of BIOS fw code base(AMI /Insyde/Tiano)

- Experience with Intel or AMD Chipset features.

- Experience with Intel or AMD Processor features.

- Experience of ACPI and Power Management development

- Experience of SMBIOS, PCIe, SPS ME relative platform porting

- Understanding of UEFI Securiry features

- Well understanding on product schematic

- Familiar with Boot Device related initialization and features such as NVME, SATA, PXE, RAID, VMD and etc.

- Excellent platform development experience.

- Good English reading/writing skills, and communication skills

- Outstanding understanding or code review, FW quality, development testing, unit testing etc.
