We are seeking a Senior Embedded Software Design Engineer specializing in power electronics and embedded control systems. The candidate will focus on implementing digital control algorithms on microcontrollers (MCUs) or Digital Signal Processors (DSPs) for power conversion systems such as inverters, converters, and motor drives.

This position bridges control algorithm development and embedded firmware implementation for high-performance power conversion systems.

In addition to power electronics, the engineer may also contribute to other embedded control applications, such as HVAC systems, industrial controllers, and smart building or automation solutions.

This role involves hands-on firmware development, system modeling, and collaboration with hardware and verification teams to deliver robust, production-ready embedded platforms.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Implement and optimize digital control algorithms on MCUs or DSPs for power conversion and embedded control systems.
• Develop embedded firmware for PWM control, signal acquisition, protection, and communication interfaces.
• Collaborate with hardware and verification engineers to ensure system-level performance and reliability.
• Perform code integration, system debugging, and validation using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and debugging tools.
• Conduct control simulation and fixed-point model implementation using tools like PSIM or MATLAB/Simulink.
• Support factory programming, testing, and calibration procedures.
• Contribute to control architecture design, documentation, and software release processes.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS

TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

• Strong proficiency in C/C++ for real-time embedded firmware development.
• Hands-on experience with MCU/DSP-based control systems and digital signal processing.
• Solid understanding of PWM generation, ADC sampling, and control loop implementation.
• Proficient in PSIM and MATLAB/Simulink for control simulation, modeling, and system verification.
• Familiarity with control theory, power conversion topologies, and digital filters.
• Experience with debugging tools such as JTAG, UART, and oscilloscopes.
• Knowledge of communication protocols such as CAN, Modbus, or UART preferred.
• Exposure to other embedded operating systems (e.g., RTOS, Linux, Yocto, or Android) for system-level integration is a strong plus.
• Experience in other domains such as HVAC systems, industrial controllers, or automation systems is also a strong plus.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

• Master’s or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Control Engineering, or a related field.
• 1–5 years of experience in embedded software development or power electronics control.
• Outstanding graduate students with strong research or thesis experience in digital control of power converters are welcome to apply.
