Software Development Services (SDS) Intern – Job Description

We are looking for a dynamic and detail-oriented Software Development Services (SDS) Intern to join our team. This internship offers hands-on experience as the central Development Center of Excellence (CoE) within Jabil IT, committed to delivering top-notch development solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain web applications with cutting-edge technologies.
• Design, develop, and test software – including scripts.
• Debug and resolve software issues and bugs
• Manage assigned tasks effectively and meet deadlines
• Report progress regularly to mentors or supervisors

What We’re Looking For:

• Students who are taking his/her Bachelor of above degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related fields
• Proficient in front-end (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, VueJS, Angular) and back-end (.Net, PostgreSQL, SQL server) technologies
• Understand and apply the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)
• Able to communicate with teammates and work together to resolve problems. Strong team mentality, interpersonal and communications skills
• Analytical and creative problem-solving skills

Optional Skills:

• Familiarity with the Mendix low-code development platform is a plus
• Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure), containerization, mobile development (Xamarin, MAUI, Flutter), and Selenium WebDriver is a plus
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work effectively in teams and under pressure. Multi-lingual capability is a plus
• Highly motivated and creative, thinking “out of the box”
• Enthusiasm and ability to seek out and learn new technologies and algorithms outside of your immediate toolset/knowledge to solve business problems where required
