Quality Technician - Jabil, Inc.

Job Summary:

The Quality Technician at Jabil, Inc. plays a crucial role in ensuring the quality and integrity of products and processes throughout the manufacturing lifecycle. This position involves performing inspections, tests, and analyses to verify adherence to established quality standards and specifications.

Job Responsibilities:

* Conduct in-process and final inspections of manufactured products, components, and materials against engineering drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
* Perform various quality tests using a range of measurement equipment and tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, CMM, optical comparators) and interpret results.
* Document inspection results accurately and thoroughly, identifying and reporting non-conformances or deviations from specifications.
* Assist in the investigation of root causes for quality issues and support the implementation of corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
* Collaborate with production teams to address quality concerns, provide feedback, and promote a culture of quality awareness.
* Maintain and calibrate inspection equipment, ensuring proper functionality and accuracy.
* Participate in internal audits and support external audits as required.
* Contribute to the development and improvement of quality procedures, work instructions, and documentation.
* Adhere to all safety guidelines and company policies.

Job Qualifications:

* High school diploma or equivalent; an Associate's degree in a technical field (e.g., Quality Assurance, Engineering Technology) is preferred.
* 1-3 years of experience in a quality control or quality assurance role within a manufacturing environment.
* Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.
* Experience with various inspection tools and metrology equipment (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges, CMM operation is a plus).
* Strong understanding of quality control principles and methodologies (e.g., statistical process control, root cause analysis).
* Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
* Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with all levels of staff.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel).
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
