Job Summary**

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Mechanical Engineer to spearhead the design, development, and optimization of complex mechanical systems and products within our manufacturing environment. This role involves technical leadership, project management, and mentorship.

Job Responsibilities**

* Lead the entire product development lifecycle for mechanical components and systems, from conceptualization and design to prototyping, testing, and production launch.
* Conduct advanced mechanical analysis, including stress, thermal, vibration, and fluid dynamics using simulation software (e.g., FEA, CFD).
* Develop and review detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and bill of materials (BOMs) ensuring adherence to industry standards and internal quality requirements.
* Collaborate cross-functionally with electrical engineers, industrial designers, manufacturing teams, and supply chain partners to integrate mechanical designs seamlessly.
* Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior mechanical engineers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
* Identify, evaluate, and implement new technologies, materials, and manufacturing processes to enhance product performance, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
* Troubleshoot and resolve complex mechanical issues arising during design, production, and field operations.
* Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively, ensuring on-time and within-budget delivery of mechanical engineering deliverables.
* Participate in design reviews, risk assessments, and failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA) to ensure robust and reliable designs.
* Ensure all designs comply with relevant safety standards, environmental regulations, and company policies.

Job Qualifications**

* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited institution.
* 10+ years of progressive experience in mechanical design and product development, preferably within a manufacturing or electronics assembly environment.
* Proven track record of leading complex mechanical engineering projects from conception to production.
* Expert proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Creo, AutoCAD) and advanced FEA/CFD simulation tools.
* Strong understanding of various manufacturing processes (e.g., injection molding, sheet metal fabrication, machining, additive manufacturing).
* In-depth knowledge of materials science, including plastics, metals, and composites.
* Excellent problem-solving skills with a strong analytical and data-driven approach.
* Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and motivate a team of engineers.
* Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
* Fluency in English and Spanish is highly desirable.
