Job Summary:

The Senior Product Engineer is responsible for the analysis, validation, and implementation of engineering changes within electronic products in the PCBA (Printed Circuit Board Assembly) industry. This role ensures proper product introduction, maintenance, and continuous improvement while meeting quality, cost, and delivery targets.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze, evaluate, and implement Engineering Changes (ECO/ECR) for PCBA products.
• Manage and maintain accurate Bill of Materials (BOM), ensuring version control and data integrity.
• Assess the impact of engineering changes on manufacturing processes, cost, and product quality.
• Provide technical support to production, quality, supply chain, and manufacturing teams.
• Ensure proper technical documentation (work instructions, specifications, drawings) is updated and controlled.
• Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions for product or process-related issues.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and customer requirements.

Required Technical Knowledge:

• Electronic assembly processes:
  • SMT (Surface Mount Technology)
  • Through-Hole
  • Back-End processes (final assembly, testing, inspection, packaging)
• BOM management and control
• Interpretation of electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and technical documentation
• Manufacturing processes within the PCBA industry
• Engineering change management systems (ECO/ECR)
• Quality standards (IPC, ISO, etc.)

Skills:

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Project management and prioritization skills
• Effective communication across cross-functional teams
• High attention to detail and quality focus
• Data-driven decision making

Experience:

• 5+ years of experience in product engineering or manufacturing within the electronics/PCBA industry
• Proven experience implementing engineering changes
• Experience supporting NPI and production environments

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Mechatronics, Industrial Engineering, or related field

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with ERP/MRP systems
• Knowledge of quality tools (8D, FMEA, SPC)
• Technical English proficiency (reading and writing)
