Job Summary
As a Level 1 Server Hardware Helpdesk Technician at Jabil Inc., you will provide remote diagnostic and resolution support for server hardware incidents escalated from Triage. You will perform structured Level 1 troubleshooting using defined runbooks, guide approved hardware replacements, and ensure accurate documentation through resolution or escalation.

You will reduce downtime and improve customer satisfaction by progressing cases from intake to resolution while maintaining SLA performance and documentation standards.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Receive and own incidents escalated from Triage.
- Perform Level 1 diagnostics per approved runbook.
- Guide customers or field engineers through approved hardware replacements.
- Verify service restoration post-repair.
- Escalate unresolved issues to Level 2 or Engineering.
- Maintain thorough case notes and documentation.
- Contribute to knowledge base articles.
- Continue technical skill development.
How Will You Get Here?
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Associate’s degree in Information Technology or related field preferred.
Experience
- 1–2 years of technical support experience.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Solid understanding of server hardware components.
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
- Clear communication with technical and non-technical users.
- Comfort working independently within structured processes.
Preferred Qualifications
- Relevant technical certification (for example, CompTIA A+ or equivalent) preferred.
Work Environment and Physical Requirements
This position typically operates in a professional office and on-site laboratory environment supporting enterprise server hardware operations. The role requires prolonged computer use and occasional lab coordination. Shift work may be required and may include nights, weekends, or holidays depending on business needs. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. may be required, with or without reasonable accommodation.
