JOB SUMMARY

Sales Director - Europe

Jabil is at the forefront of the Connected Living and Digital Commerce market, an industry experiencing rapid growth and transformation. With over 100+ manufacturing sites globally and cutting-edge design and engineering capabilities, Jabil is uniquely positioned to support and accelerate the industry's expansion. We are seeking experienced sales professionals with 5+ years of experience, particularly focused on Intelligent Devices, Robotics and Automation dynamic markets.

Typically, the sales are more consultative than transactional in which the purchase decision is complex and long, value is the key, and focus is on the solution. Relationships at the executive level within key targets are critical to this strategy.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

Business Strategy and Direction:

  • Define, develop and implement a sales strategy, which contributes to the corporate sales strategic direction.

  • Develop trust with customer or potential customer.

  • Understand the Jabil selling process: Prospecting; Preapproach-planning the sale; Approach; Need Assessment; Presentation; Meeting Objections; Gaining commitment; and Follow-up.

  • Qualify new potential customers with guidance Sector VP’s, and Business Development. 

  • Develop an understanding of the Jabil workcell model and business unit strategies as it pertains to sales.

  • Work closely with Business Development, Operations, and legal groups for quote and contract development.

  • Knowledge of CRM systems  and there use to target new customers.

  • Provide regular updates to VP of sales and marketing team on the execution of the strategy.


Technical Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the marketing function to create customer /product penetration strategies and the deployment of such for new accounts.

  • Interpret and communicate customer requirements to enable development of services and operational capabilities to support new customers and business opportunities.

  • Develop RFQ analysis and present formal presentation to customer; ensure key financial measures are achieved within each quote, including profitability and RONA targets.

  • Promote Jabil’s capabilities, footprint and services to new customers.

  • Lead commercial negotiations with new customers.

  • May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Market Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the Connected Living and Digital Commerce sector, leveraging Jabil's comprehensive manufacturing and engineering services.

  • Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, partners, and internal teams, to ensure alignment with customer needs and expectations.

  • Sales Strategy Execution: Develop and execute effective sales strategies to drive revenue growth, focusing on delivering tailored solutions that address customer challenges in the Connected Living and Digital Commerce space.

  • Technical Expertise: Collaborate closely with Jabil’s design and engineering teams to offer customers innovative and customized solutions that align with market trends and technological advancements.

  • Global Coordination: Work with Jabil’s global network of manufacturing sites to ensure seamless execution of customer projects, from initial design through to final delivery.

  • Performance Metrics: Monitor and report on sales performance, providing regular updates to senior management and making data-driven recommendations for continuous improvement.

  • Industry Insight: Stay updated on industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging technologies within the Connected Living and Digital Commerce sector, and use this knowledge to inform sales strategies.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: 5+ years of sales experience in the EMS/CM or relevant industry, with a strong focus on Intelligent Devices, Robotics & Automation. The products are in the range of safety & security, drones, home automation, retail automation, warehouse automation, last mile delivery and robotics/physical AI.

  • Track Record: Proven ability to meet or exceed sales targets, with a history of driving revenue growth in a highly competitive market.

  • Technical Acumen: Understanding of manufacturing processes, design, and engineering principles as they relate to the EMS/CM industry.

  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences. Fluent in German and based in Europe a plus.

  • Team Collaboration: Ability to work effectively in a team environment, coordinating with cross-functional teams across multiple regions.

  • Customer-Centric: Strong customer focus, with a commitment to understanding and meeting customer needs and delivering exceptional service.

  • Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, rapidly changing industry, with a proactive approach to problem-solving and innovation.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor's Degree in Business or related area; MBA preferred; 5+ years industry experience preferred or a combination of education, experience and/or training.
