Summary of Position

The Intern will support day-to-day operations within the assigned function while gaining hands-on experience in a professional work environment. This role is designed to provide exposure to standard business processes, safety practices, and quality requirements. Under supervision, the Intern will contribute to team objectives, assists with routine tasks and projects, and develops foundational workplace skills that support both personal growth and organizational efficiency.

Intern Duties & Responsibilities

• Support daily operational activities and complete assigned tasks under supervision.

• Assist with documentation, data handling, scheduling, and coordination activities as needed.

• Learn and follow standard procedures, safety guidelines, and quality requirements.

• Contribute to project-related tasks and continuous improvement initiatives.

• Collaborate with team members to meet deadlines and support department goals.

• Follow established policies, procedures, and timelines.

• Maintain accuracy, organization, and professionalism in all assigned work.

Qualifications
Major(s): Engineering or related field

School Year(s): Currently pursuing or recently completed a diploma, undergraduate, or postgraduate program in a relevant field.

Skills:

• Prior academic projects, coursework, or internship experience in engineering and/or photonics.

• Strong willingness to learn and adapt in a professional environment.

• Basic organizational, analytical, and communication skills.

• Ability to follow instructions and manage time effectively.

• Attention to detail and commitment to quality work.

• Capability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team setting.

• Professional attitude with a focus on reliability and accountability.
