The Sr. Global Supplier Quality manager (SQM) for Semiconductor Campital equipment will be dedicated to supplier sourcing, qualification, supplier quality performance monitoring and contiious improvement of Jabils Semiconductor Capital Equipment suppliers.The Global Supplier Quality Manager is responsible for the implementation and execution of the organization’s Supplier Quality Management System in alignment with the organization’s global policies/procedures and compliance with quality systems (ISO9001, IATF16949, ISO13485 or AS9001 where applicable). As a member of the Global Supplier Quality Team, be responsible for overseeing the supplier quality performance Globally, addressing the help needed or escalations from sites, participation in supplier assessment, selection and development from a supplier quality perspective. He/She will implement and monitor supplier quality management initiatives including supplier qualification, on-going supplier performance management & reviews, process improvements and audits.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

-Joint Develop and communicate Jabil’s Capital Equipment organization’s expectations for quality performance, continuous improvement, quality systems, process controls and capabilities to suppliers.

-Assess compliance of suppliers relative to semi-cap industry standards, business required QMS requirements , as well as global and divisional policies, standards & procedures.

-Develop and sustain strong relationships with suppliers.

-Conduct supplier risk assessments for global suppliers.

-Development of supplier audit schedule. Conduct supplier quality audits to determine adherence to acceptable quality regulations and requirements.Issue audit observations, development plan(s) and follow-up with suppliers on audit observations to ensure follow through.

-Measure, track, trend and communicate/report supplier quality performance on key metrics and the corresponding continuous improvement plans on a regular (monthly/quarterly) basis.

-Mentor and coach site supplier quality team in best practices in supplier quality systems, process controls, problem solving and statistical tools.

-Lead major/multiple site impacting investigations and resolution of issues with suppliers utilizing structured methodology aligned with Semicap customer expectations.

-Contribute to the development, optimization and implementation of global supplier quality management related procedures and systems or tools.

-Develop strong relationships with internal partners that enable swift and continuous improvement with supplier quality and risk mitigation plans.

-Act as an opinion leader for Semiconductor Capital Equpment Suppliers for the promotion of supplier quality management ideals, concepts and practices through the Jabil global quality, supply chain and suppliers network.

-Support semicap supplier and component qualifications per Jabil part qualification processes, Semicap industry Standards, Supplier QMS Assesments, Semicap Customer QMS and Qualification Assements, and legal/regulatory requirements, such as PPAP, SEMI. 

-May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

-Bachelor’s degree or above, with Engineering related major, e.g., Mechanical, Electrical.

Experience:

-10+ years’ working experience in Engineering, quality engineering or supplier quality management in manufacturing industry, e.g., in Mechanical, Electrical, Complex High Level electromechanical Assemblies.

-5+ years’ experience as team leader or manager position.

-5+ years of experience at Semiconductor Capital Equpment OEM (or OEM supplier) with experience in Semicap Build to Print (or Contract Manufacturing) Supplier Qualification and Special process qualification (i.e. welding, painting, cleaning, coatings, etc).

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

-Demonstrated knowledge of Semiconductor Capital Equpment Supplier Qualificiation Proecess including Customer QMS Audits, customer first article requimrments, and inspection requirements for critical parts.

-Demonstrated knowledge of Semiconductor Capital Equipment critical to product quality features as well as bkm sytems and controls for ensuring consistent compliance to these requirements.

-Demonstrated ability to manage and lead a regional/global workforce.

-Experience and demonstrated success of working across cultures.

-Demonstrated track record of effectively influencing without authority with all levels of an organization and leading effective/successful change initiatives.

-Strong experience in development of business process and procedures.

-Strong electro / mechanical background - Knowledge of metal stampings & tooling, metal fabrication, machining and various commodities of products, such as cable assembly, full assembly integration of complex electomecanical assemblies, RF mechanical assemblies, coatings, plating, special process cleaning etc. *Needs strong background in at least 2 on this list.

-Capable to read and interpret mechanical drawings, experienced with reading and using Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) and competent in tolerance stack-ups.

-Strong analytical and statistical problem-solving tools, with experience in statistical analysis of component and process quality including process capability studies (Cpk), Design of Experiments (DOE), gage repeatability and reproducibility (Gage R&R), and statistical tolerance stack-up analysis.

-Proficiency in use of computers, Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word and PowerPoint) and e-mail skills required.

-Excellent oral/written communication skills in English.

-Energized, able to work and accommodate different time zones.

-Travel ~30%-50%.

Preferred Qualifications:

-Certified QMS Auditors for ISO9001

-Familiarity with and experience in applying Six Sigma methodologies required (Black Belt certification preferred)

-Additional certification such as ASQ CQE, CQM, CQA is highly desirable

-Prior business /commercial (i.e. purchasing, commodity management) experience is a plus.

-Chinese and/or Spanish language is a plus
