JOB SUMMARY

Serve as JDS Taipei FW Center of Excellence leader to deliver comprehensive software solutions for Intelligent Infrastructure customers. Oversee all portfolio FW design and development engineering activities through effective management of resources in Taiwan and the US.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage multiple BMC and BIOS related teams in Taiwan and the US and serve as Taipei site FW leader

• Analyze and interpret customer, vendor and system architecture expectations and requirements

• Drive infrastructure, tools, testing and project management processes to deliver to all commitments

• Determine, develop and implement FW development procedures to meet the FW workmap and building blocks

• Develop and maintain expertise in FW Industry Sector

• Enhance team competencies in current technology and design trends, continually evaluating staffing needs, and recruit world-class engineering talent

• Partner closely with OpenBMC FW Leader, System Architects and FW Execution and Architecture Strategist to deliver complete, robust and on time customer solutions

• Clearly understand all operational elements of Jabil’s business as related to FW (including HW interaction)

• Provide direction and strategy on design and development activities including AI driven to improve, modify or design products and processes for the Taiwan teams to achieve continuous improvement

• Engage in strategic technical dialogue with key internal stakeholders and negotiations with external hardware and third party software providers

• Support executive management initiatives and assist with generating and enhancing new and existing customer relationships and business opportunities

JOB QUALIFICATIONS AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS

• Deep knowledge of global FW development industry, logistics and operations

• Proven track record of successful change management, implementing and managing continuous productivity and cost reduction programs

• Effective and convincing communication skills

• Demonstrated ability to build and leverage partnerships, manage large teams including managers and senior SW developers

• Established proficiency in determining logistics requirements to enable business goals and objectives with ability to devise and implement strategy to achieve targets

• Proficiency in Mandarin and fluency in English required

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

• BS in engineering required, MS and/or MBA preferred

• 15 years’ relevant experience required

• Plus 7 years’ experience in engineering management role

• Willingness to travel world-wide up to 15% of the time
