JOB SUMMARY

Provide leadership for the development, implementation, communication and maintenance of the quality system. Ensure that current and future quality design meet and/or exceed customer design requirements and all regulatory requirements. Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements in an effective, timely, and responsible manner.  Make sure that all projects are following the defined requirements.  Support the globalization of business through leading and coordinating the standardization of systems, procedures and policies across the Jabil design sites world-wide.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Recruits and maintains a high-caliber staff appropriate to QMS circumstances as per organization chart.
• Delegates and organizes departmental workload according to project assignments.
• Establish the documented procedures to ensure that quality system is suitability, adequacy and effectiveness.
• Ensure that the quality activities fully compliance with procedure, customer requirements and regulatory requirements.
• Ensure perform internal audit and management review as per schedule / plan.
• Support external audit, such as customer audit, third part audit, FDA factory inspection, etc.
• Monitor product design project execution from quality perspectives.
• Coordinate and track the corrective/preventative action effort to ensure that appropriate corrective and preventive actions are taken and implemented on a timely basis.
• Provide professional support on quality issues with the internal/external customer as needed.
• Buildup quality awareness program to cultivate quality culture across whole engineering team.
• Coach and mentor Engineering staff to ensure compliance with internal processes and procedures.
• Drive individuals and the team to continuously improve in quality system and the achievement of the organizational goals.
• Evaluates and schedules appropriate training curriculum in area of responsibility.
• Continually monitor existing design procedures for all worldwide sites according to the industry standards, provide improvement advice when opportunities are available.
• Comply and follow all procedures within the company security policy, environment, safety and health rules and regulations associated with this position.
• May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

MANAGEMENT & SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Typically reports to Management.  Direct supervisor job title(s) typically include: Director of Quality.

• Job is directly responsible for managing other employees (e.g., hiring/termination and/or pay decisions, performance management). 

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS

• Strong knowledge of Quality Management System Standards and Regulations, 21CFR Part 820, ISO13485, ISO9001, etc.
• Strong knowledge of the overall quality management system procedures, design control processes.

• Strong knowledge of problem solving and risk management, 8D, CAPA, FMEA, ISO14971.
• Strong and convincing communication skills.
• Proficiency in use of personal computers, Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word and PowerPoint) and e-mail skills required.
• English communication both orally and in written.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s degree in Quality Management or Science/Engineering discipline.
• At least 10 years working experience in the quality related field and 5 years of managerial experience.
• Prefer experience in medical device manufacturing and/or automotive manufacturing.
