Process Engineer (m/f/d)

To strengthen our team in Hägendorf, Switzerland, we are looking for a full-time Process Engineer to join us on a permanent basis.

This role offers a flexible hybrid working model with an attractive mix of on-site and home office work, with an immediate start or a mutually agreed start date.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The successful candidate will drive process excellence by developing, optimizing, and implementing efficient manufacturing processes and controls that ensure product quality and operational performance. Acting as a key technical expert, this individual will support assembly and molding operations, troubleshoot process-related issues, lead continuous improvement activities, and contribute to cross-functional projects. Key responsibilities include:

• Drives the continuous improvement of manufacturing processes to enhance quality, efficiency, and operational performance
• Leads the implementation and optimization of new and existing production processes, tooling, and automation solutions
• Investigates process deviations, conducts root cause analyses, and implements sustainable corrective actions
• Partners with production teams to solve complex manufacturing challenges and improve process stability
• Develops, validates, and documents new manufacturing processes while ensuring compliance with quality and regulatory requirements
• Identifies and implements opportunities to increase yields, reduce cycle times, and improve overall equipment effectiveness
• Evaluates process and product risks and supports data-driven decision-making in a highly regulated environment
• Maintains accurate technical and compliance documentation, including process validation and ITQ-related records
• Champions a culture of safety, quality, and operational excellence across the manufacturing environment

REQUIREMENTS

• Technical background in Mechanical Engineering, Polymechanics, or a related field
• Further education (HF/FH) in Mechanical Engineering, Process Engineering, or a comparable discipline is preferred
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a Manufacturing or Process Engineering role
• Experience in the Medical Device industry is highly preferred; experience in the Pharmaceutical or Watchmaking industry is also valued
• Understanding of quality management systems and risk assessment methodologies
• Exposure to Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including advanced Excel skills
• Solid German and good English communication skills
• Experience conducting root cause analyses and implementing corrective actions in collaboration with production teams
• Hands-on experience with machining processes such as turning and milling
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to investigate process deviations and identify sustainable solutions
• Strong sense of ownership, accountability, and teamwork
