JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Process Engineer to develop, implement, and optimize production and processing methods for both new and existing assembly and molding operations. This role is critical in ensuring quality standards are met efficiently while supporting continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing processes.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead the startup and implementation of new and existing production projects, focusing on cost, efficiency, and quality optimization.
• Establish and maintain robust process controls and ensure accurate documentation is in place.
• Monitor ongoing assembly and molding operations; troubleshoot process issues and collaborate with quality teams to resolve defects.
• Develop and document processes for new product lines, including evaluating performance and supporting new tool design.
• Diagnose and debug moderately complex issues in systems, tooling, and automation.
• Design and execute experiments to improve process yields, reduce cycle times, and enhance setup efficiency.
• Recommend and implement process improvements and maintenance changes; ensure all modifications are properly documented.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in compliance with company safety programs.
• Provide guidance to assembly and material handling personnel as needed.
• Support and uphold all company safety and quality initiatives.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
• Assist Tooling Engineers with Design for Manufacture issues.
• Offer new ideas and suggestions for improvement. Identify and implement new practices and processes that are “best in class.”
• Understand and drive regulatory and compliance certifications as appropriate (eg. regulatory requirements surrounding ISO9000, ISO14000, AS9100, TUV).

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field preferred.
• Proven experience in assembly and/or molding processes within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
• Proven experience (min. 5 years) in plastics injection molding
• Knowledge and experience of engineering in medical device manufacturing environment (injection molding preferred).
• Proficiency in use of personal computers, Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word and PowerPoint) and e-mail skills required
• RJG Master Molder training (preferred)
