Job Summary

The Environmental Control Technician (ESD I) at Jabil, Inc. is responsible for implementing and maintaining environmental controls and Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) protocols to ensure compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements. This role supports manufacturing operations by preventing contamination and static damage.

Job Responsibilities

* Perform routine monitoring and inspection of environmental conditions including temperature, humidity, and particulate levels within controlled environments.
* Conduct regular audits and checks of ESD protective equipment (e.g., wrist straps, heel straps, work surfaces) and ensure their proper functionality.
* Implement and enforce ESD control procedures, including proper grounding techniques and material handling practices.
* Maintain accurate records of environmental data, ESD measurements, and inspection results.
* Identify and report any non-conformances related to environmental control or ESD protocols.
* Assist in the investigation of ESD-related incidents and environmental excursions, proposing corrective actions.
* Provide basic training and guidance to production personnel on ESD awareness and environmental control best practices.
* Support the implementation of new environmental and ESD control initiatives.
* Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies.

Job Qualifications

* High school diploma or equivalent; associate's degree in a technical field preferred.
* 1-2 years of experience in a manufacturing or quality control environment, with exposure to ESD or environmental controls.
* Ability to read and interpret technical documents and procedures.
* Strong attention to detail and ability to perform repetitive tasks accurately.
* Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Proficiency in basic computer applications (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite).
* Physical ability to stand, walk, and perform light lifting as required by the role.
