JOB SUMMARY
The Divisional Compensation Lead will have primary responsibility for managing the research, design, communication, implementation and administration of compensation programs, policies and procedures for the division globally.
The incumbent will evaluate, design and recommend compensation programs that align with Corporate/Global Compensation strategies and take into consideration local laws, regulations, and market competitiveness to enhance and improve their impact on the business.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Act as a consultative partner to Senior Leaders and HR Leaders within the division; collaborate to establish comprehensive compensation programs and align compensation strategies with business objectives through innovative solutions
- Define the divisional worldwide compensation initiatives that align rewards systems with business goals.
- Develop the divisional strategy to attract, retain and reward high performance/potential employees.
- Represent the division’s Sr Leaders in terms of divisional compensation strategy issues, needs and desires to the broader Total Rewards function and address unique business needs of the division in the context of global compensation programs.
- Drive partnership with Divisional HR leader and Talent Management team to work out the holistic/consolidated HR solution for business needs.
- Orchestrate the M & A compensation integration work for the division (job mapping, gap analysis, impact analysis, communication and training).
- Review and develop overall compensation structure, including salary structure, job family analysis, annual merit pay planning, and bonus plan development/administration.
- Drive deep, sophisticated one-off compensation analyses in support of the business.
- Drive programs, policies and training in order to enhance the relationship of rewards with performance management.
- Enable the organization to identify anchor or key roles that will drive business value, and assure proper compensation strategies to retain key talent.
- Responsible for ensuring the division’s global compensation programs and practices are compliant with local statutory laws and regulations.
- Develop and implement effective and efficient compensation processes and best practices.
- Collaborate with Global Compensation teams and drive the successful implementation of company-wide initiatives and annual compensation programs for the division.
- Lead, coach and mentor divisional compensation team members to deliver excellence to every internal and external customer.
- May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS
- Advanced knowledge of compensation practices and policies, and the ability to evaluate the appropriate compensation mix.
- Possess strong consultative and collaboration skills with the demonstrated ability to influence, negotiate and communicate innovative solutions and address complex business issues with Sr Leaders and Sr HR Leaders within the division.
- Provide exceptional communication and project management knowledge in the implementation of divisional compensation business solutions and deliverables.
- Ability to read, analyze, interpret and communicate regarding common scientific and/or technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- 7-10 year of experience
- Bachelor’s degree required (HR, Business, Finance, or Accounting preferred)
